Dissemination Award 2013

For several years now, Rudi Caeyers has helped our scientists with their publishing needs and our faculty with presenting its scientific activities to the world through high quality design. Last year, Rudi was co-editor and author of the book "Svalbard Life". This book got good feedback and was met with enthousiasm, both in Norway and abroad.
With its beautiful design, the book invites you to explore many facets of Svalbard: its culture, history, flora, fauna and climate.
The pictures are brilliant, the layout inviting and the English texts are well written. It is definitely the right book for those who wish to learn more about our beautiful Arctic islands.
Rudi's work has hereby contributed considerably to the dissemination effort of our faculty and increased its status.

Our book Svalbard Life

Next week, prof Wassmann and me are releasing our book Svalbard Life:

Svalbard Life takes readers on a unique journey to Svalbard, one of the last regions of genuine wilderness in Europe. Arctic and marine biologist Paul Wassmann together with the book’s artistic designer and Arctic photographer Rudi Caeyers exemplify and illustrate life, change, and resilience in the archipelago by unifying informative text with lavish imagery in a way that is comprehensible and stimulating. For many readers, this book will change their perception of life in the High North. /.../

350 pages, hard cover and full of beautiful color pictures by the best arctic photographers on this planet!
